Final Still Image Video

Image
Introduction: As we are wrapping up the end to the semester and finishing up the final still video at home and not at school makes me miss working on these assignments in the school of Communication very much. I got to prove myself wrong because I never thought I would be able to finish this project without the support of being on campus. I am pleased with myself for teaching myself how to use this program and bring my still image video to life! Goals: For this project, my goal was to spend each day for four hours working on this. I went to around six hours for the last week teaching myself to program to make sure each image is placed in the best location possible. I am happy with how this video came out after struggling with how to use the program at first. Watching hours of video tutorials to make this happen and I love how the video came out in the end! My goal for this was to get out of my comfort zone in my skills and go above and beyond to make myself happy with the work I p...

The Animatic Assignment: This week for our blog post for the animatic assignment I started to add still images and one video to my audio story and add pictures to the audio clip. To do so I used the program Adobe Premiere to use my audio clip and then add the still images to it also! I then used a lot of images to then create the best clip with pictures by placing each image when discussing each topic within disabilities. I included a lot of images regarding High Point but also included a picture of other colleges across the United States. Animatic  Video: What I need to do next? After this rough draft of my animatic assignment. I plan to add text and make the images appear and move around. It will help me add detail and make the pictures come to life and add action to the animatics. I will also learn more regarding premiere because I am unsure of how to motion to the pictures and how to add text to make the video better for the final version!

Movie Trailer Mashup:

Image
Introduction: For my mashup assignment, I decided to use two Disney movies Frozen Two and Moana. I struggled a lot at first deciding what movies to mashup together so I decided to pick one I have seen before and one I have not seen but I want to see! I removed the audio from the Movie Moana because I have never seen the movie and did not know much about it. I decided to use the Video from Moana, and use the Audio from Frozen Two because I found it easier to mashup both videos that way. I struggled a lot at first deciding to cut it and where to put the audio and what sounds to make louder and making sure it sounded like the characters were talking also. What I learned: I have never used premiere and I struggled a lot with it from the download aspect to figuring out how to use the application. I tried my best and took me six hours to just learn how to put both movie clips into the software and taking the sound from one and pictures from the other trailer. I watched a lot of tutori...

Minahan Audio Story

Audio Story: In my Audio Story that I have been working on over the course of the semester for, I focus on learning peoples views if colleges offer enough support for disabilities. I found it interesting how everyone had a different outlook and view on the topic. A lot agreed we do offer a lot of help here at High Point University. After interviewing one of my experts, Professor Phill Watson, he explained how here we offer a lot of support compared to other colleges. Overall everyone agreed we do offer support here just the level of how much High Point helps there was varies answers regarding the question. It was interesting for me to interview people on this question because I am someone who has a learning disability myself. Which made me interested in the topic and seeing how others felt compared to my thoughts. Overall, after interviewing everyone I soon realized we do a great job here with support compared to other colleges in America.

Audio Story Components

Background Music: For my background music for my person on the street POS, I added in a quiet sound that was instrumental without words. With my clip it sounded better to include an instrumental track that was quiet and not too upbeat. Audio with Noise Background: In my clip I edited out a lot that was not needed and only kept remark that would follow up to my question. A lot of information I had was not needed and only kept the facts that were relevant. Audio without Noise Background: After listening to my original POS, I decided to cut out the clip at the end because it was recorded outside near a car and the clip sounded off compared to the other ones. It was loud and you could hear noises in the back. Audio without effect: The audio without the effect includes both the music and my original POS and the effect at the end with the music ends really loud and does not slowly fade off. It did not sound like it fit in at the end when the recording also stopped. Audio...

Person on the Street Interview

Forum Two- Person on the Street Intro: For the second blog post for the Person on the Street, I decided to interview people and see if they believe colleges offer enough support for people who have a disability. It was interesting to see how people had all different opinions on this topic. Depending on if someone knew someone who had a disability and had an insight on a specific situation most people assumed colleges do in fact offer enough support. It was interesting to see how everyone reacted to a question that needs more of a discussion especially in todays society.    The Audio:
