Audio story topics

List THREE distinct topic ideas for your podcast
  1. A place you have traveled that you would love to return
  2. How is college at HPU different compared to High School
  3. A situation that shaped your life
For each distinct topic idea, list at least TWO experts you could interview
  1. Someone who has traveled internationally and or someone who travels a far distance to come to High Point
  2. Someone who is a freshman where High School is fresh in their mind or a senior who has not been in high school in a long time.
  3. Someone who has unique story-like divorced parents or an injury
For each topic, describe what you already know about the topic, and what you hope to explore further or discover along the way.
For traveling, I have been to a few places outside the US that have shaped me into the person I am today and I would love to see how traveling to Europe or somewhere impacted someone else’s life. For college compared to high school I went to a non-traditional high school with seventy students so it would be interesting to see how someone went to a big school compared to here is different and similar. Lastly, for a situation that changed my life, I have had a few crazy experiences between my parents getting divorced and me moving multiple times to break my knee senior year. I would love to compare to other people who have also been through life-changing events and how they managed to get through it.
Lastly, for each topic, describe why a general audience member would find the topic interesting. If this were a podcast playing on the car radio, why would the driver NOT change the channel?

For each topic, a general audience member would find it interesting because of it something that they could possibly relate to or have an interest in knowing more about a certain topic because of similar experiences or of just knowledge regarding the topic. Each topic is engaging because it touches on much different life and experience and I am sure someone can either fully relate or gain more understanding on one of three topics.
